The Counterparty Q&A tab manages the questions exchanged between parties in a deal. Before uploading or adding questions, you need to register the counterparties involved and select the appropriate working mode.

Buyer vs. Seller mode

The Counterparty Q&A tab operates in one of two modes, toggled using the mode selector on the left side of the screen:
ModeWhen to use
BuyerYou are the party asking questions and reviewing answers from a seller or vendor
SellerYou are the party receiving questions and providing answers to a buyer
The mode you select determines which questions are displayed, what columns appear in the table, and what actions are available on each Q&A item. You can switch between modes at any time.

Registering a counterparty

Counterparties must be registered before questions can be assigned to them.
  1. Click the Manage Counterparties button in the Counterparty Q&A tab.
  2. In the counterparty manager dialog, click Add Counterparty.
  3. Enter the counterparty’s name and any other relevant details.
  4. Click Save to register the counterparty.
Registered counterparties are available for selection throughout the Counterparty Q&A workflow — when uploading questions in bulk or when adding individual questions.

Adding a single question

To add a question manually:
  1. Click the Add Question button in the actions bar.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Question — the question text
    • Counterparty — select from the registered counterparties
  3. Optionally expand Additional fields to set:
    • Priority — Low, Medium, or High
    • Owner — assign to a team member
  4. In Buyer mode, an additional Seller Response field is available if you want to capture a pre-existing answer.
  5. Click Add to save the question.
Daedaline checks for duplicate questions when you add one manually. If an identical question already exists, a warning is displayed.

The Q&A metrics dashboard

At the top of the Counterparty Q&A tab, a metrics grid shows aggregate statistics for all questions in the current mode — including total counts and breakdowns by status and priority. These update in real time as questions are added and answered.
