# Downloading Documents

> Download individual documents or entire folders from your project.

You can download any document or group of documents from the file manager at any time.

## Downloading a single document

1. In the file manager, hover over the document you want to download.
2. Click the **actions menu** (three-dot icon) on the document row.
3. Select **Download**.

The file is downloaded directly to your browser's default download location.

## Downloading multiple documents

1. Select the documents you want to download by clicking the **checkbox** that appears when you hover over each row. You can also click the header checkbox to select all visible documents.
2. Once one or more items are selected, the **Download** button becomes available in the file manager toolbar.
3. Click **Download**.

All selected files are downloaded. If you selected files across multiple folders, each file is downloaded individually.

## Downloading a folder

Downloading a folder retrieves all documents contained within it, including documents in any nested sub-folders.

1. Hover over the folder row in the file manager.
2. Click the **actions menu** on the folder row.
3. Select **Download**.

Alternatively, select the folder using its checkbox and click **Download** in the toolbar.

  Folder downloads collect all document IDs recursively, so every document in the selected folder hierarchy is included — regardless of how deeply nested it is.

## Bulk download with mixed selection

You can select a combination of individual files and folders at the same time. Daedaline combines the document lists from all selected items (resolving folder contents recursively) and downloads the full set.
